KULAI: The Johor government will be discussing with one of the world's leading aerospace corporation, Airbus, in having its aviation maintenance here.
State International Trade, Investment and Utilities Committee chairman Jimmy Puah Wee Tse said that he would be leading a delegation from Johor to France this Saturday (Nov 3).
"We want to promote the state as a major investment destination among international companies, and we have the required ecosystem to meet their expectation.
"The state government has plans to promote aviation industry here with the Aerospace Park for the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO)," he added.
Puah said this after officiating Senai Airport City Forum 2018 at Senai Business Aviation Terminal near Senai International Airport here on Tuesday (Oct 30).
He added that Airbus has shown an interest in coming here, and if the meeting is fruitful, it would be a major investment deal for Johor.
"Airbus planes can come here for their MRO, which is important and this will make Johor a major player in the aviation industry within the region," he said.Did you find this article insightful?
