PETALING JAYA: Barisan Nasional "teased" Pakatan Harapan MPs for leaving the Dewan Rakyat, when former premier Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak debated on Tuesday (Oct 23) afternoon.

The coalition on its official Facebook page posted a picture of the Pekan MP taken from his back, towards empty seats, believed to be those of Pakatan MPs at about 3pm.

The post included this caption: "Pekan berucap, ramai pula YB Pakatan Harapan tinggalkan dewan. Barangkali pedih telinga bila 'auta' mereka pudar ditelan fakta. (Pekan/Najib speaks, many Pakatan MPs left the hall. Perhaps their ears hurt when their 'empty talk' is overshadowed by facts)."

According to Standing Order 13(1), there must be at least 26 MPs at the Dewan Rakyat proceedings.

The post received almost 1,000 likes and over 140 shares at the time of writing.

Social media users found the "short poem" post amusing.

Among the comments, Kimping Dago encouraged Najib to keep up the good work.

"If your good effort is for the country and its people, may everything goes well (sic)."

Hussain Bakar criticised the MPs and backbenchers, noting that they still acted like the opposition.
