A GOSSIP columnist in Mingguan Malaysia wrote about the boldness of singer Zizi Kirana (pic) in showing off her physical “assets”.

This could be seen in the photographs that were posted on her Instagram account, said the columnist who used the moniker “Mary Jane”.

According to Mary, Zizi seemed unperturbed by any negative talk about her.

“Other women may get upset if they feel that undignified comparisons were made against them,” Mary said, adding she had respect for Zizi for being “positive” about it.

> Man Bai, who is known for his megahit Kau Ilhamku, is not keen on his 17-year-old daughter becoming a singer, Metro Ahad reported.

The girl could sing well but he felt she was not ready yet.

“I am okay with it if she is really ready,” said Man Bai, who was part of the group Gersang in the 1980s.

She previously voiced her desire to be a singer “but I did not allow it”, said Man Bai, 51.

> Eleven barrels containing sea snakes were seized by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) near Tanjung Gemok, Rompin.

Most of them were live snakes, while one of them was filled with frozen ones, said Pahang MMEA deputy director (operations) Kapt V. Pannir Selvan.

Several Malay dailies quoted him as saying that a boat with a tekong (captain of a small boat) and seven Vietnamese fishermen had apparently tried to smuggle in the snakes on Saturday.

Three tonnes of squid, which had already been packaged to be sent to a neighbouring country, were also seized, he said, estimating it to be valued at about RM300,000.
