Penang landslide: 9th victim found

GEORGE TOWN: The body of 33-year-old Bandgladeshi, Muhammad Uzzal, who is without a valid working permit, has been found at the Bukit Kukus landslide site in Paya Terubong here.

The discovery marks the ninth body to he discovered at the site.

Firemen found Muhammad Uzzal's body pinned under a container at about 5pm today (Oct 22).

It took about 40 minutes to extract the body, and it was then sent to Penang General Hospital for a post mortem.

His countrymen Mohamad Rajan, 25, remains unfound and his body is still believed to be at the site.

The landslide, which occurred at 1.56pm Friday (Oct 19), claimed the lives of nine foreign workers, and injured four.
