Malaysian man detained at Dhaka Airport for possessing gold bars worth RM1.7mil

PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian man was on Monday (Oct 15) detained at the Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for being in possession of seven gold bars worth about RM1.74mil.

The man, who was identified as Chan Gee Keong, 47, arrived in Dhaka aboard a Malindo Air flight that left from Kuala Lumpur at 10am, reported Bangladeshi news portal bdnews24.com.
