PETALING JAYA: The car park attendant and the man who assaulted him, believed to be a Datuk, have made peace.

A one-minute 25-second video of the two men speaking to each other amicably at a restaurant was making its rounds on Friday (Oct 12).

Both of them said they did not harbour any anger or ill-feeling towards each other.

"I didn't want this to become an issue," said the car park attendant.

They then shared a hug.

On Thursday (Oct 11), police confirmed the authenticity of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, where a man is seen scolding a parking attendant at a hotel here.

Police said based on the parking attendant's report, the man became agitated when the attendant refused to raise the boom gate at the parking exit, after the man was found not to have paid a RM3 parking ticket.

He said the parking attendant lodged a police report on Sept 19.
