KUALA LUMPUR: One third of cancers are preventable and Malaysia needs to adopt certain preventive measures to control them, said the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) in Switzerland.
Its president Prof Sanchia Aranda (pic) said the most common causes of cancers are tobacco use, poor diet, lack of physical activity, alcohol abuse, and risks of certain infections.
