KOTA KINABALU: After facing public backlash for his controversial remarks, Sabah mufti Datuk Bungsu Aziz (pic) has clarified that 14-year-old girls and 16-year-old boys would only be allowed to marry in “special cases”.
Bungsu said he merely suggested that these were marriageable ages, and that consideration should be given to teenagers wanting to get married under “special circumstances”.
