Court: It’s purely academic now

PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court has dismissed the questions raised on the legality of the appointments of the former top two judges, saying that the matter is now academic now that they have stepped down.

Justice Zainun Ali, who read out the judgement, said the decision by the six-member bench was unanimous in not wishing to answer the four legal questions posed by the Malaysian Bar and Advocates Association of Sarawak (AAS) as they had become academic.
