Perak state PKR elections scheduled for Sunday (Sept 23) cancelled

IPOH: The Perak state PKR elections scheduled for Sunday (Sept 23) has been cancelled.

Perak PKR information head Siti Aishah Shaik Ismail said after taking into consideration all factors and situation, including the incidents (malfunction of the electronic voting system) that occurred in Kedah and Penang, the elections in Perak have been cancelled.

“I was informed by the party’s central elections committee chairman that the elections for Perak has been cancelled.

“We have not been given a specific date for now, and once the dates are provided we will inform the media,” she said in a message to the media on Saturday night (Sept 21).

A press conference by State PKR chairman Dr Muhammad Nur Manuty is expected to be held tonight (Sept 21).
