Govt: No plans to cut petrol prices

RAM Ratings said the decision to float the price of RON95 based on the Automatic Price Mechanism will lift headline inflation by 0.9 percentage points in 2019.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Government does not plan to reduce the price of petroleum to RM1.50 per litre unless the world price of crude oil drops to that level, says Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah.

He said there was no such promise in Pakatan Harapan’s GE14 manifesto.
