SHAH ALAM: The Election Commission (EC) targets at least 70% of voter turnout in the Balakong and Seri Setia state by-elections on Saturday, said its deputy chairman Tan Sri Othman Mahmood.

He hoped the two by-elections would record a higher percentage of voter turnout compared to the 49.4% turnout recorded for the Sungai Kandis by-election on Aug 4.
