KOTA KINABALU: A police investigation is under way over viral reports that illegal immigrants in Sabah are filling up citizenship forms with the supposed blessing of the government to make them Malaysians.

Dismissing such reports, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Aziz Jamman said police had been told to investigate the sources of such viral messages and take stern action against those trying to smear the Parti Wari­san Sabah-led state government.
