Petaling Jaya: Patriotism runs deep in the Naza group of companies, especially so in the heart of Naza Corporation Holdings special projects director Azlan Iskandar who is a former Malaysian international squash player.

However, the 36-year-old said being a former athlete and flying the Malaysian flag in tournaments does not make him more Malaysian than others.

“Malaysians should not separate themselves into different groups and rate their patriotism differently.

“Everyone can be equally patriotic. It is important for each Malaysian to do his or her part for the nation,” he said.

He said Naza is a company that strives greatly to help make Malaysia a great nation.

“Naza is a well-known Malaysian company. We are a huge private conglomerate, and to be part of the #AnakAnakMalaysia campaign is great as it shows the unity and strength practised by the company,” he said.

Azlan recalls attending the first #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk in 2015 while he was still a national squash player.

“I was at the first #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk, and am glad to be participating this time as well,” Azlan said.

He said sports can instil valuable traits and discipline in children.

Naza Automotive Group is sponsoring a Vespa S125 i-GET scooter as the third lucky draw prize.
