Man dies in flaming car after accident on NPE


PETALING JAYA: A 27-year-old man was killed inside his burning car following an accident on the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) in the Kuchai Lama-bound direction early Friday (Aug 31) morning.

It is learnt that the victim lost control of his vehicle before crashing it against a road divider at about 4.45am on Friday. 

The impact of the crash set the car aflame.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement department chief Asst Comm Zulkefly Yahya said the victim’s body was completely burnt and he died at the location.

“During the accident, the weather was good and there were street lights at the location.

“There was no CCTV there,” he said when contacted.
