Ex-IGP: Yes, I am facilitator for Thai peace talks


KUALA LUMPUR: Former Inspec­tor­-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Mohd Noor confirms it: he is the new facilitator for the southern Thailand peace talks.

The 75-year-old replaced Datuk Seri Ahmad Zamzamin Hashim, who was appointed by the previous government, to facilitate the talks between the Thai government and Mara Patani, an umbrella body representing militant groups in southern Thailand.
