KUANTAN: The government wants foreign investors like Alliance Steel at the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) to be successful, but at the same time, they are required to follow Malaysian laws, says Foreign Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.

Commenting on Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's statement that he would like to see the roughly 3m-high walls surrounding MCKIP to come down, Saifuddin said the government had to study the agreement signed by the previous administration.
