KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah's Wira youth wing in Penampang has lodged a report againt a Facebook account holder for allegedly insulting Sabah natives in a post.

Wira Penampang deputy chief Sonnie Hamdan filed the report against a Facebook user named Hafiz Khan at the district police headquarters here on Friday (Aug 24).

Sonnie urged the police and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to investigate and take action against the suspect.

"The statement uploaded by the person contains elements of slander and is insulting towards the Kadazandusun, Murut and Rungus (KDMR) communities, who are the natives of Sabah," he said.

Sonnie said that it was unnecessary to use such terms, which could disrupt the racial and religious harmony in the state.

The suspect allegedly used racial slurs at the KDMR communities, describing them as pork-eaters, alcoholics and lazy.
