KUALA LUMPUR: Despite the increase in charges for treating cancer in public hospitals, the Health Ministry assures that it is still much lower than in private hospitals.
"The ministry wants to emphasise that the overall charges on cancer patients in all government hospitals including the National Cancer Institute (IKN) are way lower than the charges for similar treatments in private hospitals," the ministry's secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Chen Chaw Min said in a statement on Friday (Aug 24).
