PETALING JAYA: Candidates and parties contesting in the Balakong and Seri Setia state by-elections must to stick to the rules – including not using government assets in campaigning – or face action, says Election Commission member Datuk Md Yusop Mansor.
“If any party is found to have broken the law and regulations during the official campaign period, the EC urges that reports or complaints be lodged immediately with the authorities such as the police, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, and the Communications and Multimedia Commission so that further action can be taken,” he said in a media statement issued Tuesday (Aug 21).
