Proposal to allow hiring of foreign head cooks


ALOR SETAR: Restaurant owners can be given leeway to hire foreign cooks only for the purpose of preparing traditional dishes from their country of origin, says Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Mahfuz Omar.

This is on the understanding that some of the dishes are not Malaysian traditional food and need to be cooked by chefs from the country of origin of the dishes, to preserve the authenticity and taste.
