Perhilitan ranger goes missing while gathering data on tigers

KUANTAN: A Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) ranger is has not been seen since going into the jungle to collect data on tigers in Taman Negara, Jerantut, last Saturday.

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) deputy director Mohd Sani Harun said the ranger, Tarmizi Ahmad Japli, 30, entered the jungle through Felda Kecau 11, Kuala Lipis with six other colleagues before they broke into three groups to collect data from cameras installed at several locations under the 1st National Tiger Survey programme.
