MIRI: People from 20 villages in Marudi district are protesting a proposed oil palm plantation project that they say will infringe on their native customary rights (NCR) lands.
These villagers have held a joint meeting and have highlighted their plight to Sahabat Alam Malaysia (Friends of the Earth, Malaysia or SAM) over NCR lands of 28,400 hectares in total.
