KUALA LUMPUR: The previous government has not been able to refund companies on their tax credits that came about following the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax because 93% of the money was not placed in the trust account, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng revealed yesterday.
He said some RM18bil of the RM19.4bil input tax credit under the GST system since 2015 was robbed by the previous administration.
