PETALING JAYA: The Pakatan Harapan presidential council has unanimously agreed to appoint PKR’s Sungai Petani MP Datuk Johari Abdul as its backbenchers club president.
In a statement Monday, Pakatan secretariat chief Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said this was decided on Aug 2.
Johari was the PKR deputy chief whip from 2008 to 2013, and the chief whip from 2013 to 2018.
He also held the position of senior government officer and is Gurun assemblyman in Kedah.
Johari holds a master's degree in strategic studies from the University of Lancaster.
