PETALING JAYA: Never hang around an accident site, because you never know when it can get worse, as a six-vehicle pile up along the Federal Highway (towards Klang) on Sunday morning (Aug 5) showed.

It began when a pickup truck and a car were involved in a relatively minor fender bender at about 7.40am.

Then two police mobile patrol vehicles (MPV) came onto the scene to help direct traffic. A tow truck was also at the location to tow the Navara.

But some 10 minutes after police arrived at the scene, all hell broke loose when a lorry rammed one of the MPVs from behind.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din said, “The impact sent the MPV crashing into the other MPV and the Satria.

“The second MPV was also dragged for a few metres and crashed against the tow truck,” he said when contacted.

The two police MPVs were badly damaged.

However, it was a bit of a miracle that nobody was hurt despite the mayhem.

“We have recorded statements from those involved," said ACP Mohd Zani.

“The 26-year-old lorry driver also underwent a urine test but the result came back negative.”
