8 youngsters arrested at illegal disco on Pulau Perhentian

BESUT (Bernama): An underaged boy was among eight people arrested by the police at an illegal disco on Perhentian Island early today (Aug 4).

Besut deputy district police chief DSP Kamsani Hassan said the 17-year-old boy was detained with six other men, in their 20s, and a woman, aged 19, during an operation on the island.

He said police also detained a woman, aged 45, believed to be the owner of the premises.

“We also seized a power amplifier, power mixer amplifier, external hard disk, laptop, wireless receiver signal and various types of cables, as well as two plastic packets, believed to contain ketum water, at the premises,” he when contacted by reporters here today. -- BERNAMA
