Kedah’s free water now only for the needy

ALOR SETAR (Bernama): A total of 15,000 Kedah domestic water consumers who are registered with the National Poverty Data Bank (e-Kasih) will enjoy exemption from water charges up to a maximum consumption of 20 cubic metres.

State Public Works, Water Supply, Water Resources and Energy Committee chairman Zamri Yusuf said the exemption had been reduced from 220,000 consumers to 15,000 deserving users.
