KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has upheld the acquittal of Datuk Zaid Ibrahim (pic), who was charged with making offensive statements against former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on his blog three years ago.

Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali made the decision here on Thursday (August 2) after DPP Jamil Aripin informed the court that the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) agreed to withdraw its appeal against a Sessions Court's decision that discharged and acquitted Zaid in January.
