MIRI: The flood situation in four populated zones in Miri and Lambir districts in northern Sarawak showed no signs of abating following a downpour early Thursday.
After incessant rain since Wednesday (Aug 1) night, Kg Seah, Kg Kejapil, Kg Bakam and a section of the Pan Borneo Highway were still inundated.
Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief Supt Law Poh Kiong said Bomba rescue teams are on the ground to assist flood victims.
He said floodwaters were receding in other areas hit by the deluge on Wednesday.
