Perhentian to be patrolled by tourist police

BESUT (Bernama): A team of tourist police officer will be stationed in Pulau Perhentian to increase the security in the resort island.

Terengganu police chief Datuk Aidi Ismail said that the team that will consist of eight officers and personnel from the Terengganu police headquarters would take turns every week to patrol the island to reduce its crime rate.
