GEORGE TOWN: Former Tanjong MP Ng Wei Aik walked out of court a free man for the second time after the prosecution withdrew its appeal against his acquittal over a sedition charge.
High Court Judicial Commissioner Datuk Ahmad Shahrir Mohd Salleh upheld the Sessions Court’s decision in 2016, in which Ng was discharged and acquitted after it ruled that the prosecution had failed to prove a prima facie case.
