KUALA LUMPUR: Having seen the plight of the families whose breadwinners are injured or have died in road accidents, the Social Security Organisation (Socso) chief executive felt stricter penalties and enforcement were of paramount importance.
Datuk Seri Dr Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed said Socso distributed between RM600mil and RM800mil in compensation payouts to workers involved in road accidents last year.
