KOTA KINABALU: Autonomy in various aspects is apparent in the new Warisan-led Sabah government, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
She congratulated Warisan and its partners for bringing change for the betterment of the state and the people.
She had earlier held a meeting with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal at his official residence in Sri Gaya here yesterday.
Shafie said he and Dr Wan Azizah discussed various issues during the meeting, including updates on Warisan’s progress in administrating the state after GE14.
“However, we did not touch too much on oil royalty because it is still under Federal jurisdiction,” he added.
On another matter, Shafie said more discussions were needed on AirAsia’s proposal to move back to the Kota Kinabalu International Airport Terminal 2.
“What is important is to get more tourists to come here, especially from Singapore and Australia,” he added.
