KOTA KINABALU: AirAsia wants to move back to Kota Kinabalu International Airport's Terminal Two after being forced out three years ago, arguing that this would not only spur tourism but open Sabah to more international destinations.

Offering to bring its long-haul airline AirAsia X to Kota Kinabalu, AirAsia Group Berhad chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said the company was back in talks with relevant agencies, including the Sabah government, to restart Terminal Two as a dedicated low-cost terminal.
