KLANG: The Dewan Rakyat will have two Deputy Speakers, with one each from PKR and DAP, according to sources.

It said Perak DAP chairman and Teluk Intan MP Nga Kor Ming is DAP's choice while PKR has proposed its Batu Pahat MP Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon as its choice.

Mohd Rashid was formerly Penang Deputy Chief Minister 1, before moving south to contest the Batu Pahat parliamentary seat, replacing PKR incumbent Datuk Mohd Idris Jusi.

Muar-born Mohd Rashid, who is an engineer by qualification, is one of the founding members of Penang PKR.
