Report: Former Appeals Court judge Mohamad Ariff to be Parliament Speaker

KUALA LUMPUR: Retired Court of Appeal judge Datuk Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof (pic) is expected to receive his appointment letter as Parliament Speaker soon.

The New Straits Times reported that Mohamad Ariff is waiting for the official letter, and quoted him as saying that it would be issued latest by Sunday (July 15) as the first meeting of the 14th Parliament starts on Monday (July 16) and will last for 20 days.
