PETALING JAYA: Lawyer Fadiah Nadwa Fikri (pic) has been called in for investigations after several police reports were made against her for an article she wrote about the monarchy.

Fadiah said that she had been called for investigation under section 4(1) of the Sedition Act and section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.

“The questioning will be held at IPD Brickfields tomorrow at 4pm,” she said in a Facebook post on Tuesday (July 10).

In a column titled “Don’t Kiss the Hand that Beats You” on a blog called Malaysia Muda, Fadiah had questioned the institution of the monarchy in the country, describing it as incompatible with democracy.

She also described the picture of Anwar, bending down to kiss the hand of a Sultan as part of "feudal culture".
