End race-based economic policies, ensure wealth fairly spread to all, says UM professor

KUALA LUMPUR: The Pakatan Harapan government must do away with race-based economic policies which had failed the nation and adopt a new economic model which will fairly spread wealth to all, regardless of race, said a local university professor.

Tan Sri Dr Kamal Mat Salih (pic), who is an adjunct professor at Universiti Malaya's Economics Faculty, said there were also failures of institutions so much so that, in the last decade, the previous government "ran into a swamp".
