39 World Cup bookies nabbed in Penang

GEORGE TOWN: In just the first two weeks of the FIFA World Cup 2018 and already 39 bookies have been arrested, including a woman.

State police chief Comm Datuk A. Thaiveegan said they conducted 36 raids throughout the state from June 14 until June 28, and arrested the suspects, aged between 20 and 60, mostly at restaurants and coffee shops.
