Pathologist gets jail and RM7mil fine for graft


SHAH ALAM: An accused in the case of murdered deputy public prosecutor Datuk Anthony Kevin Morais was sentenced to five years in prison and RM7mil fine on two charges of corruption involving RM700,000.

Tuanku Mizan Military Hospital pathologist Dr R. Kunaseegaran was found guilty by Sessions judge Rozilah Salleh of soliciting RM700,000 from Abdul Razar Abdullah as an inducement to recommend the latter’s company RAZ Medical Supplies Sdn Bhd as a supplier for medicine and disposable medical instruments for the hospital.
