‘Teh tarik’ catchment raises fear of possible landslide

GEORGE TOWN: When a placid pond that was once emerald green in Bukit Jambul, Penang, turn into ‘teh tarik’ after a thunderstorm, residents feared it was a warning sign of a landslide uphill.

But it was just mud-wash caused by the construction of the paired road linking Lebuhraya Thean Teik in Bandar Baru Ayer Itam to Lebuh Bukit Jambul.
