Former Bank Negara assistant governor and G25 founding member dies


KUALA LUMPUR: The former Bank Negara Malaysia assistant governor Datuk Latifah Merican Cheong (pic), 67, died of esophageal cancer Friday (June 22) night.

Latifah breathed her last at Subang Jaya Medical Center at about 10.15pm, surrounded by family members, said a relative who declined to be named.
