Two detainees jailed seven months over lockup escape

JOHOR BARU: Two detainees who escaped from a police lockup a few days ago, were sentenced to seven months’ jail each after they pleaded guilty in a magistrate’s court here.

Senior assistant registrar R. Salini ordered Nolmat Halil Abd Jalil, 34, and Muhammad Firdaus Irwan, 25, to serve the sentence from the date of their arrest on June 11.
