KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah has filed eight election petitions at the High Court here Monday.
Party secretary general Loretto Padua said the petitions were filed to challenge the results in four parliamentary and four state seats.
"The parliamentary seats are Kimanis, Sipitang, Keningau and Libaran, while the state seats are Sg. Sibuga, Kundasang, Sook and Kiulu," he said when met at the court.
The petitions, which were filed at 9.15am, are expected to be served to the respective parties earliest by late Monday or Tuesday (June 19).
Loretto said these eight petitions were filed based on their confidence in the cases.
"We won't be filing if we did not have enough evidence to back these up, but we will leave the rest to the lawyers to handle," he said.
Eight teams of lawyers, one for each case file has been appointed.
Meanwhile, PKR is also expected to file an election petition for Pensiangan later today.
