JOHOR BARU: The Johor Sultanate, since the reign of its second Ruler Almar­hum Sultan Sir Ibrahim Ibni Almar­hum Sultan Abu Bakar in 1899, has always donated its allowances allocated by the state government to aid the needy among Bangsa Johor.

According to a statement by the Royal Press Office yesterday, the effort was continued during the time of Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail where the allocation was channelled to a foundation known as Yayasan Sultan Iskandar.
