Estate manager shot multiple times in front of house in Kinabatangan

KOTA KINABALU: An estate manager was shot in front of his house just as he was heading out for morning prayers at about 4.35am on Wednesday (June 6).

The victim, Razlan Alibi who manages the Litang estate under Hap Seng Plantations in east coast Kinabatangan, suffered multiple bullet wounds following the incident.

Kinabatangan police chief Supt A. Sahak said the victim was receiving treatment at the hospital, and was still unable to give any statement to the police.

"Doctors treating him said there were seven wounds on his back, believed from the gunshots," he said.

According to initial police investigations, it is believed that the suspect, who was still at large, had targeted the victim.

"However, we can't reveal more details," Supt Sahak said.

He said the motive of incident is still under investigation.
