KUALA LUMPUR: Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad (pic) has been acquitted and discharged by a Sessions Court here over a charge of making seditious statements about the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (Mais) and the Selangor Sultan.
Judge Rohatul Akmar Abdullah made the order on Thursday (June 7), ruling that the prosecution had failed to prove a prima facie case against Khalid.
