Zero GST set to spur domestic air travel

For the whole of August, MAHB handled a total of 6.89 million passengers at its airports.

PETALING JAYA: Demand for local air travel is expected to increase between 5% and 10% during the transition period to the Sales and Services Tax (SST), said Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) president Datuk Tan Kok Liang.

He said MATTA is optimistic that there will be an increase in demand in air travel domestically as prices will be lower even though during peak seasons.
