Trial for Malaysian in Singapore stocks case


SINGAPORE: Malaysian businessman John Soh Chee Wen (pic) and two others will have to face trial over charges they masterminded a scheme that led to the collapse of Singapore penny stocks more than four years ago.

Assistant registrar James Elisha Lee ruled there was sufficient grounds to commit them to a full trial, after hearing three days of cross examinations of 13 of the prosecution’s witnesses at a committal proceedings.
